At Eos Bespoke Furniture, every piece begins with a careful selection of the finest hardwoods and finishes. We work primarily with European Oak, American Black Walnut and European Ash, chosen for their beauty, integrity, and longevity. Each material possesses its own unique character, and our natural oil finishes are selected to enhance, not conceal, the wood’s true essence.

European Oak

Renowned for its strength, stability, and timeless appeal, European oak has long been a cornerstone of fine furniture making. We offer two distinct grades to suit your desired aesthetic. Both grades are sustainably sourced and finished to reveal the natural depth and beauty of the grain.

  • Prime Grade - Smooth and consistent in grain and colour, prime oak offers a refined and contemporary look. Its subtle figuring brings understated sophistication to modern interiors.

  • Character Grade – Rich in knots, grain variations, and organic markings, character oak celebrates the individuality of the timber. Each piece tells its own story, adding warmth and authenticity to any space.

American Black Walnut

A luxurious hardwood prized for its deep chocolate tones and striking grain patterns. American black walnut brings a sense of richness and elegance to any design. Over time, it develops a gentle patina that enhances its depth and character. We hand-select each board to ensure harmony of tone and texture across your piece.

European Ash

Light, clean, and contemporary, European ash offers a beautiful balance of strength and delicacy. Its fine grain and pale colouring make it ideal for brighter, more minimalist interiors. When finished in natural or lightly tinted oils, ash radiates warmth and subtle sophistication.

Finishes

We primarily use premium oil finishes—Osmo Polyx-Oil and Danish oil—to protect and enrich the wood while maintaining its natural touch and appearance.

Osmo Polyx-Oil Finishes

Osmo finishes are made from natural oils and waxes, creating a hard-wearing, breathable surface that enhances the grain and provides lasting protection.

  • Osmo Raw: Designed to preserve the unfinished, natural look of pale timbers such as ash and oak. It prevents the “wet look” darkening effect often caused by oil finishes.
  • Osmo White: A subtle white tint that softens and brightens the timber while allowing the grain to remain visible—a contemporary, airy aesthetic.
  • Osmo Terra: A warm, earthy tone that adds depth and character, enriching the wood’s natural colour while maintaining a natural matte finish.

Danish Oil

Danish oil penetrates deeply into the grain, enhancing the wood’s natural tone with a soft, low-lustre sheen. It offers a classic, hand-rubbed finish that is easily maintained and develops a beautiful patina over time.

A Natural Approach

All our finishes are chosen not only for their appearance but for their environmental integrity. Made with natural oils and waxes, they are low in VOCs and safe for the home. Each finish is applied by hand to ensure even coverage, depth of colour, and a tactile, durable surface.
