This chopping board is handmade frombook-matched end-grain oak, with walnut and maple stringing running through the board.
The pattern comes from the way the oak has been prepared and assembled. Each column is cut from the same piece of oak, keeping the natural grain pattern flowing across the board. Every other run is then rotated through 180°, mirroring the growth rings of its neighbour and creating the repeating pattern you can see across the surface.
Measuring approximately460 × 350mm and 28mm thick, it’s been made to be as practical as it is beautiful — designed for everyday use and made to last for many years.
